Margaret Brown We are distributing a candidate's leaflet around Meols Ward in April 2012, mainly in the Champion of 18th April, but partially door-to-door. Please let us know if yours is not delivered It can be viewed here, in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format - if you have not yet installed this utility onto your computer, it is available FREE OF CHARGE:direct from Adobe here - We also have an advert in the Southport Midweek Visiter on 25th April which may be viewed here It is disappointing that the LibDem candidate in this ward should appear to claim credit on one of his propaganda leaflets for the 30mph flashing warning signs on Preston New Road when it was THE SOUTHPORT PARTY'S petition that persuaded Sefton Council to install them. He also ignores mention of the installation of the numerous speed bumps on Bankfield lane and Rufford Road whic has caused havoc and provoked a 2000 plus petition of protest to the Council. This is the same Council that laid down speed bumps in Rosebery Street, a cul-de-sac off Canning Road just 100 yards long. Both schemes were over the top and a complete waste of YOUR money. No common sense was used by any Councillors or officers in making either decision. The Southport Party does NOT claim credit for the work of others. It is a pity that the LibDems so often fail to live up to this idea. |
